Annuals:
Mums, kale and pansies love the cooler temperatures and are a great addition to any garden! Please treat your little friends right and be diligent on watering! Pots do require more water than the ground due to the lack of continuous moisture. DO NOT water your plants more than once a day as that will lead to overwatering and rotting. The average annual needs to be fed about once every month or so. Over fertilizing can lead to beautiful foliage, but minimal flowers. We carry an extensive line of organic Espoma products and recommend PlantTone for everything in your garden! The most important piece of advice we can give you is to care for your plants. Correct amounts of sunlight, watering, feeding, pruning and dead-heading are key to your garden's success!
Shrubs:
Please remember to hand water with a hose daily for the first 3 weeks to get them fully established (do not rely on a sprinkler system) and DO NOT put fertilizer in the hole. You will burn the product and it is NOT covered by our warranty. Also when planting a shrub or tree DO NOT make the soil line any higher on the trunk than it already is. If you are unsure you can leave the shrub about an inch higher and once being watered the soil level will sink. You will suffocate the shrub, it may die or loose leaves and it is NOT covered by our warranty.
